Going to the California Coast? Pismo Beach has something for everybody!! Bring a volleyball, Frisbee, kite or surboard, The water is a tad bit chilly though. The fredderf.com family had a pleasant two-day stay in Pismo. The weather is terriffic! More like Derfferiffic!! Rarely gets hot. Friendly folks and good food. Plenty to do there. Of course bowling is fun, especially when it's just two blocks from the pier. The Pismo Bowl. How 'bout The Beachcomber, cute, just a block from the beach.

Don't miss the spectacular spiral staircase to the beach at Shore Cliff Restaurant. It's well worth the walk to the water. Marie Callenders has a spiffy old car serving as the salad bar.

A few miles south in the town of Oceano, dine in a dining car at the Rock and Roll Diner.
